Amara

“A portrait drawn from starlight and the memory of warmth.”

Amara is the first in JB's celestial portrait series, a figure rendered at the threshold between the terrestrial and the cosmic. The palette is warm throughout: gold, amber, and soft coral, colors that suggest first light and the hour before dusk. The subject is presented with a stillness that reads as authority rather than absence, a presence fully arrived. JB works here with a restraint unusual for the studio's figure work, letting the color carry emotional weight while the composition remains formally spare. Amara establishes the register that the entire celestial series will inhabit: intimate, luminous, unhurried.
