Series 10 marks a turning point in the Circuit Splendor sequence: the point at which the mosaic language reaches maximum density. The android portrait here is constructed from fragments smaller than any preceding chapter, the surface a field of micro-decisions that cohere into recognizable form only at a considered viewing distance. JB's palette in Series 10 favors deep saturation without the incandescence of earlier entries; the colors are rich but not loud. The effect is one of compressed intensity, a portrait that contains multitudes while projecting formal control.
