“Warm circuits. Gold and rust enter the machine's chromatic range.”
Series 6 is the warmest chapter in the Circuit Splendor sequence. Gold, burnt orange, and deep rust replace the cool neons of earlier entries, giving the android portrait an unexpected thermal quality. JB's palette choice here is formally significant: the android subject in warm tones reads differently than in cold chromatics, the circuit geometries taking on an almost organic quality under amber light. This is not the android as machine; it is the android in a moment that approaches something like warmth. The series' most surprisingly inviting entry.
