Harmonious Chaos is the series where JB most deliberately inhabits the paradox of its title. These works are structurally chaotic at close range; gestural marks accumulate without apparent system, color decisions appear reactive rather than premeditated. Step back and a different experience becomes available: not order exactly, but an equilibrium that holds despite the energy it contains. JB achieves this through an intuitive compositional sense that balances weight, color temperature, and mark density across the canvas without reducing any of them to formula. The harmony is real. It is simply built from the inside out.
